Advanced Sequences

Hi there!👋

Creating automated sequences can help reduce your manual involvement considerably.

Let's take a look at different blocks you can add to the sequence builder along with all the sequence settings.

Types of sources for a sequence

Here are the different sequence sources that appear when you try to add a block to your sequence,

1. List of contacts

List of contacts for sequence

The source here is a contacts list and when a contact gets added to that list, the sequence starts for them.

Click on it to select a list from the ones you have already created and click on 'Insert' or create a new list.

2. List of contacts meeting conditions

You can choose a condition from the drop down and set its value to true or false. It is possible to add more conditions by clicking on 'OR' & 'AND' as per your need.

Types of Outreach Blocks

There are two outreach blocks that appear when to try adding blocks in a sequence:

1. Email outreach - It enables you to send emails to the contact.

2. Tasks - It lets you create a task for the contact such as making a cold call, performing LinkedIn outreach or sending an SMS.

Types of Conditions

There are two condition blocks as you can see in the image above,

1. Delay - Using this it is possible to add a time delay between two blocks. For instance, you can add a delay of 7 days after emailing a prospect before you send a follow up email.

2. A/B Split - You can divide contacts into two different email flows and perform A/B testing to see which email template is more effective in fetching results

Types of Actions

Here's a list of the actions that you can perform in a sequence:

1. Move contact to list - It is possible to move a particular contact to another list when you run the sequence. For example, if a contact replies to an email, you would want to shift them to a list of interested prospects.

2. Archive contact - It is possible to archive a contact from your list while running the sequence. For example, if a contact doesn't reply even after several follow-ups, you would want to remove them from the list.

3. Pause sequence - You can pause the sequence for a contact whenever you want to. Usually, you need to do this when the contact replies and there's no need of sending follow-up emails to them anymore.

4. Unsubscribe contact - You can unsubscribe a contact and stop reaching out if they don't want to be a part of your sequence anymore.

Sequence Settings

It is now time to look at the sequence settings that appear once you complete building your flow.

Sequence settings

You can schedule the sequence by entering the time and time zone of the sequence.

Feel free to choose the email sender you want to use for the sequence from the drop down. There's also the option to add a new email sender.

There is an option to send a BCC or blind carbon copy of the emails to certain addresses.

Apart from this, you can choose to send your emails to all addresses or just the verified ones. You can choose valid, risky and invalid email addresses.

There are check boxes to enable tracking email opens, clicks and replies so that you can measure the performance of the sequence and understand what kind of approach works best.

So, this was about creating advanced sequences using SalesBlink. Hope you found this useful!
